Solomon sees a hungry dog in a cage.
A tannoy message tells him that he will be allowed to live if he reaches the end of the City of Dogs.
We learn that Solomon had been a dog owner in the past and that he had had three big wolves as pets before his farm was taken from him.
He finds a metal door with a button telling him to press it next to it.
After exploring the room he realises his only option is to press the button, but it does not open the door, it lets the dog out of its cage.
He manages to kill the dog and makes it into the next room where two mutated dogs begin attacking him.
He manages to climb a narrow passage between two walls, but soon begins to tire.
The dogs wait hungrily for him to drop.
