King Solomon reveals he is on his way to take Craven down, but doesn’t tell him about the City of Dogs. He spins him another idea to distract him.
Papa Grim says he wants to come and kill Craven himself.
Papa Grim has moved up from the South, unknown to King Solomon.
Davey gets the impression Papa Grim and King Solomon have had problems in the past.
Papa Grim tells the king he is going to cut his face off once they have killed Craven. He says if Solomon is playing him then he will take Davey’s face off too.
Papa Grim explains that once he has drawn his cutthroat razor it has to taste blood, like a samurai’s blade.
He cuts off the face of one of his gang who were going to kill Solomon before he was taken to Papa Grim.
Solomon tries to make peace with Papa Grim, but is told that their bad blood will only die when one of them is dead. After killing Craven they will go back to being enemies.
