Davey and King Solomon are imprisoned in their shack.
With time on their hands, Solomon tells Davey the story of why Papa Grim hates him so much.
King Solomon was in a relationship with a woman called Nancy who Papa Grim also had feelings for.
Nancy had a daughter, Marjorie, who Solomon doted on and treated as his own daughter.
Nancy was narcissistic and emotionally abusive and manipulated Solomon.
When he finally realised what she was like she threw him out of his house and began spreading lies about him.
Worst of all, she stopped him seeing Marjorie and became a drug addict.
Marjorie became terminally ill and Nancy abandoned her at the shopping mall.
Marjorie died in the hospital, surrounded by strangers.
Years later, in the after, Solomon saw Nancy again and he brutally beat her to death when he realised that the disaster had done nothing to change her selfish, lazy nature.
He and his cloud of Grims ate her and she was the first person eaten in the Freelands.
Papa Grim was in a relationship with Nancy at this point and he was understandably distraught and enraged at the love of his life being murdered and eaten.
