Preacher Kelly manages to get the container door shut.
He is hungry and alone in there as Simon is still unconscious. It reminds him of his time in the cage having the devil cut out of him.
Simon wakes up and Preacher Kelly explains their situation.
Preacher Kelly is grateful for his time with his saviour and mentor.
Finally the horde have moved on.
They escape the container.
Simon tells Preacher Kelly that God has told him that King Solomon is still alive but his time is running out.
They realise that Simon’s wound is infected and head back to Serenity for antibiotics.
Preacher Kelly is distraught to see that Serenity has been ransacked by the Grims from the Freelands.
Grims are standing guard, seemingly waiting for Simon Cross’ return.
Simon is inconsolable at the state of his beloved village and church.
Preacher Kelly goes off to get some medicine, leaving Simon in the dozer.
He is inside the medicine stores when a Grim spots him and aims a shotgun at him.
