Solomon wakes Davey in the early hours of the next morning, telling him that Rick and his cloud are going to sell them out.
They sneak away and find cover in an abandoned apartment block.
The building is on fire, thanks to Rick and his cloud of Grims, which confirms Solomon’s suspicions.
They make their way down through the ruined apartment block back towards the ground floor.
They fight their way out of the blazing apartment block, but Davey is again terrified by how weak the king has become.
A cloud of Grims save them and begin brawling with Rick’s cloud.
Solomon tells Davey that he would trust this new cloud with his life.
Davey and the king spend the next few days in the company of their new cloud, led by a Grim named Fisherman Jack.
When Solomon hears sounds of uproar nearby he mourns the fact that the Grims have never stood together and instead chose to fight each other over petty differences.
Solomon is deeply depressed after the loss of his beloved Freelands and the friends he had there.
The deaths of his cloud weigh heavily on him.
The king is sleeping off his hangover when Davey hears uproar in the alleyways near Jack’s territory.
