Deborah runs to her parents’ bedroom, and barricades herself in.
She remembers that her dad has a gun in his chest of drawers.
The drawers are locked. In desperation, she tries to break them open while Cross attempts to smash the door down.
She gets the gun, just as Cross manages to get the door open, but hurts herself in the process.
Cross disappears when he realises she has the gun.
With the phones dead, she has no option but to try and make it to her neighbour’s house.
