Nicol tries to convince Laverick that he can help him to take his research to a global scale.
Laverick furiously asks him to leave.
When it becomes clear Nicol is going to keep pushing him, Laverick calls his digital children.
They creep from the darkness of the house, intent on murdering Nicol.
Laverick lets them get within inches of killing Nicol, but then stops them.
He tells Nicol if he ever sees him again the digital children will kill him.
Nicol flees, wanting nothing more to do with Laverick or his creepy children.
But he is blackmailed into another visit to Laverick’s house.
