Davey goes back and forth on his decision, wondering if he is making the right choice.
He goes back to Serenity and tells Cross he has seen the atrocities in Solomon’s warehouses.
Cross asks him what he has done.
Davey tells him he’s done nothing as there is enough pointless violence and death in this world as it is.
Cross commends his turn the other cheek approach but is unhappy at being compared to Solomon and his group in the Freelands.
He tells Davey that he sees potential in him, so he is going to cut the devil out of him.
Davey wakes up in the same cage in which Deborah went through her conversion to Cross’s ways.
Cross tells him they will start his conversion with castration.
